Hola, I recently stayed with Ramon & Oda at their casa for a one month stay. I can tell you Oda runs a VERY clean house and by ANY standard it is spotlessly clean! The unit is comfortable and as in the pictures has a full size fridge in the unit. There is a closet area big enough to spread out your luggage ope on the counters. I especially liked the new mini split A/C unit, you can not tell it is running and is silent. The bath has a on demand electric hot water heater, and trust me as someone who has spent over 12 months living in Havana, most casas there is not enough hot water for one to take a shower, if the casa has more then two rooms for rent, forget hot water at all, as you will wait all day. Having spent many, many months living in Havana if the unit has A/C, it is always a 30 year old "Window Rattler" that sounds like a Lear Jet on take off, you can not sleep. Oda will cook for you and always had something to try. Fresh coffee for me every morning. The location is close to very good restaurants, San Cristobal, Casa Miglis, Me Gusta & Flor de loto (plus many others) are steps away, as is the Malacon only several blocks straight down the street. This is my first stay behind the Capitolio and outside of Old Havana my preferred choice, however all the new Americans Tourists, have ruined that price wise and availability. They only stay 2 or 3 nights and are trying to see all of Cuba in 5 days! So they are booking holes all over the casas for the month, and it is near impossible to book a week straight anymore let alone a month at the same casa.' Casa Ramon y Oda is a great place, and in a real true Cuban Neighborhood, you can sit and watch the daily life of the Cuban People from the apartment window or sit in front on the street as I did with Ramon Y Oda, drinking a cold beer or rum. Ramon speaks some English and understands English fairly well. They are among the most friendly landlords I have encountered in Cuba, going out of their way for you. Everything clan and fresh new paint throughout, no one could complain. I loved my stay, and will return!

Oda and Ramon are great people :) We arrived in La Habana a day late due to connection issues. When we asked about the payment, the first thing Oda asked us was if we wanted to pay for the amount of days we booked or the amount of days we actually stayed. (We decided to pay for the period we booked, since there was nothing she could have done to prevent our plane from being late ...) She's really friendly, helpful and always up for a chat (helps if you speak a bit of Spanish though). She helped us book our "taxi collectivo" and next "casa particular" in Vinales, which we were also very happy about! The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. You can get breakfast as well, just tell her the night before and she''ll ask you what you'd like. She also makes a good cup of coffee! One night of the stay, she cooks for her guests. So the night before we started our "Cuba-trip" Oda made us a nice (and free!) meal. After our trip and before leaving Cuba, we stayed with Ramon and Oda one last night. This night it happened to be Ramon's birthday and we were invited to have a couple of beers with them and we also danced a bit (apparently if you stay for a couple of days, Ramon can even teach you how to dance!). Definitely recommended!

Oda and Ramon were the perfect hosts! We were at their home for New Years Eve and they let us join in all the celebrations with them. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome to Cuba :)

First of all, we had a wonderful time at Ramon and Oda's place, they absolutely made us feel at home and were the most helpful hosts we had during our three weeks' stay in Cuba. We stayed at Ramon and Oda's twice, once when we first arrived in Cuba and once when we left. Ramon picked us up from the airport personaly. In the casa, our hosts made us feel at home and although our Spanish is really bad, we made things work. The room was nice and clean with a private bathroom and TV. My boyfriend enjoyed a little breakfast in the morning and I got a lovely cafecito as well. Concerning the location in the city, this casa is at walking distance to the Malecon and to Habana Vieja, you could not do better. As we planned to move on to Vinales, Ramon and Oda helped us organise our onward journey and helped us get to our collectivo. When we returned to La Habana, Oda cooked a delicious dinner for us, which she always does for her guests – either one breakfast or one dinner is on the house, she told us. She even gave us a little gift, a key board. In a nutshell, both Ramon and Oda were just super friendly and welcoming. They were always up for a little chat, not minding our horrible Spanish. They tried to answer all our questions and helped us, wherever we needed it. When we return to La Habana, we are definitely going to stay at their place again and I recommend anyone to do the same.

Casa Ramón&Oda, well where do we start. Ramón&Oda welcomed us in from the start and took us in as one of they own childrens. What you see in the pictures is what you get with extra love and care. A really easy going family and the house was very clean Oda takes good care of the place, its close to everything of interest and anything you need they will help you with it all. My girlfriend and i wanted to go to Viñales for a few nights they did everything to help us with getting tickets and found a nice Casa to stay at aswell. Big breakfast for a small price. And before i forget make sure to ask Oda to cook for you. Because she made us a simple yet very delicious meal for the both of us. Best meal we have had in Cuba and its cheap aswell We'll come back to cuba just for a reunion.

Oda is an amazing host. The room is clean and with a private bathroom. At a walking distance from the city center and the malecon. Oda is very helpful and can cook for you if you want ! Oda fue muy amical. La habitación está limpia y tiene un baño independiente. Se puede hacer todo a pies después de su casa. Oda puede también cocinar para sus invitados y es muy simpática.
