Surroundings and transport
The building is situated in the heart of one of Munich’s most sought quarter: Haidhausen. Its many refurbished historic turn-of-the-century style buildings, flowered and fountained places, create a Mediterranean atmosphere underlined by its nick name ‘Franzosenviertel’ (French quarter). With many French and multicultural restaurants in its direct neighborhood, it is known for the highest density of cafes, restaurants and famous beer gardens, with buzzing evening street live, especially in summer. Munich’s famous ‘Philharmonic Concert Hall’ featuring a vast city library plus an ‘organic’ beer garden & grill are all situated at the green tree shaded banks of the close-by Isar river, just a view steps away. The banks also offer sunny pebble beaches, were people meet on summer evenings to swim, grill and chill – with outdoor feeling in the midst of the city. In winter, if you do not want to head for skiing to the close by mountains, you can also relax in the public spa of the historic art-nouveau ‘Müllersche’s Volksbad’ just a view minutes walk from the apartment at the river banks as well (see pictures below).
