I live on the 3rd floor of a six-story building next to the port and 15 minutes (on foot) from the beach. Each floor has one apartment. My apartment has two north and south balconies, allowing for excellent airflow. You can also use air conditioning or heating, but it's not needed for most of the year. I have PRO-DIGI 10 Gbps high-speed internet.
El Grao is an old fishermen's town connected to Castellon de la Plana. There are several bars and restaurants on every block and a market every Friday. You can find grocery stores, butchers, markets, tech stores, clothing stores, repair shops, and everything you need within five minutes of walking. The public transit is excellent unless you plan to leave or come home between 23:00 and 5:00.
El Pinar Park is 10 minutes from my place. It has playgrounds, a pool, BBQS, and more. There are also several callisthenics parks on the way. One is right outside the apartment, but my favourite is on the beach.
The port right in front of the apartment has some of the best fish and paella restaurants in Comunidad Valencia. The town is relatively quiet all year round, but there are several festivals in the spring and summer.
You can surf, foil, and kite all year round, depending on the weather conditions. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk. During July and August, the beach is busy, but it feels like a ten km-long private beach throughout the rest of the year. There is also some excellent mountain biking and mountain climbing in the area. You can bike up the mountain in an hour or arrive by car within fifteen minutes.
You can get to Valencia with public transit in under two hours and under an hour by car if there isn't much traffic.
