The homestay is located in a popular residential area where you can get a real flavour of Cardiff life. The accommodation comprises a private single bedroom on the ground floor of a detached house, with a separate dedicated WC on the same floor. The house, which has recently been fully refurbished to a very high standard, is located in a mature and a peaceful residential suburb. The property is close to local supermarkets and independent shops and is conveniently located for access to the city centre, universities, colleges and the A48 and M4. John is living in the house, he has extensive experience in hosting domestic and international visitors, and endeavour to ensure the guests feel that they are â€˜home away from home'.

Lovely room. Lovely house. Made very welcome and then given space. Nice area with great access to shops and a park. Definitely recommend.

I stayed at Ronda and John's place for over 9 months and those were some of the best months I ever experienced! The room is well furnished with a very comfortable bed, lots of storage space, and a lovely view out the window. I had my own little toilet room which I appreciated! Additionally to the room, I could also use the kitchen, the laundry facilities, and the garden (where I spent many hours of reading). But what really makes this place special and unique to me is its people. Both Ronda and John are amazing in making one feel at home while simultaneously respecting one's private space. Ronda is lovely and very helpful, always glad to recommend places and help me with various administrative stuff, especially during my first weeks when I settled into the new place. With John I had a lot of great and fun conversations which immediately made me feel at ease and part of the household. All in all, it was my best homestay experience and I couldn't recommend it more - coming back to this place is a reason to visit Cardiff again in the future!

Ronda and John are great people, made you feel welcome into their home and in a nice location. Lovely people to talk too and very helpful as to where to go for food and drink, which is a 5 minute walk down the road. Would recommend them to anyone who wants to experience a great homestay.

A very comfortable bedroom in a very nice place ! You have everything you need by being there for a stay in Cardiff. John and Ronda are lovely and fantastic ! They care about you so well ! My best experience ever abroad ! I would have put 6 stars !

I stayed with Ronda just over two weeks ago. It was my first time to Cardiff or Europe solo and my first homestay experience. Right from our first initial contact online, she was transparent and open to any questions I had. Despite my crazy 24hour journey to get to Cardiff, she went out of her way to make me feel welcome and at home. The pictures don't do justice! The room was bright, cozy, beautiful and equipped with anything one could need. I would 100% recommend this homestay to anyone near or far. She is a real, genuine gem of a lady and hostess.

I had the most pleasant time staying with Ronda and her family for my exchange semester in Cardiff! The room has a high quality, is very clean and spacious and I really felt at home during my stay. Ronda and her family are lovely people who welcomed me warmly. I was allowed to use the kitchen and laundry facilities to my liking and Ronda was a brilliant host helping me with various things. I can definitely recommend her and will book again when I will be back in Cardiff. I really cannot say anything negative as I had the best of times.
