Fantastic host, apartment, and location! At a wonderful intersection of two lively and important streets. We were five college students, so proximity to nightlife was important to us, but we also wanted to avoid sketchy or loud areas. This spot was absolutely perfect. Within close walking distance of nightlife, but in a very safe location. Also lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Habana Vieja was a cheap cab ride away (though we often took the public bus with a stop right in front of the apartment to Habana Vieja for 5 cents each). Hildelisa helped us find taxis for fair rates, good restaurants, everything! She also made us delightful breakfasts that made our stay much more pleasant. We heard bad stories from friends who stayed west across the river or deep in habana vieja and we couldn't be more glad that we stayed here instead. Seriously, this might be the best place to stay in Havana.
