Zen Room
Features: • Patio • Internet Access • Smoke Alarm • Parking
Step into our Zen Room, a small but serene space dedicated to meditation and relaxation. It features a comfortable cot-sized bed, and for minimalists who prefer, we can provide a queen-sized Japanese floor mattress. Rest assured, all bedding and towels are provided for your convenience. You will enjoy comfortable temperatures thanks to a new HVAC system and large windows with UV blocking roller shades. This peaceful retreat boasts a newly renovated ensuite bathroom and its own separate entrance, complete with a charming small porch. You'll have access to the kitchen for light meal preparation only. We kindly ask all guests to be extremely mindful and clean during their stay, as this is non-negotiable. Please observe quiet hours between 9 PM and 9 AM. On-street parking is available with a visitor's permit, which we can provide. Our home is nestled in the vibrant and trendy Columbia Heights neighborhood, known for its hip restaurants, lively bars, and diversity. You'll be just a 10-minute walk from the Columbia Heights Metro station, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Plus, the popular U Street corridor and other trendy areas are just a pleasant 20-minute walk or one metro stop away. Some Attractions in Walking Distance: St. Vincent Wine: A cool wine bar with charcuterie boards, brunch, hearty mains, a garden, and regular live jazz. Midlands Beer Garden: A spacious and popular spot known for its extensive selection of draft and bottled beers, including local, European, and craft options. Doubles: A cozy, multi-purpose coffee shop and ping-pong club. The Coupe DC: a well-known restaurant, coffeehouse, and bar which has hosted notable figures like Barack Obama. About Me: I've journeyed through roughly 19 countries, and have a deep love for exploring new cultures and places, with Dakar, CDMX, Istanbul, Hanoi, Kingston, and Cochin topping my list of favorite cities. I share my home with another busy professional. While we tend to be introverted, we truly value meeting people with a curious mind and an adventurous spirit. We're particularly excited to welcome guests who are also embracing mindfulness, minimalism, and sustainability in their lives.
