Bertha and Fidel live in a two-story house, east of Havana City, an excellent option for guests to enjoy a vacation of Sun and Sea and delight in walking among the beautiful Plazas, Castles and Fortresses. The house is located just 10 minutes by car from the sandy beaches of the east of the capital and less than 7 minutes from Old Havana, which is reached by crossing a tunnel under the Bay. In 5 minutes you can find the Morro-CabaÃ±a Tourist Complex or Historical Park and the Cristo de Casa Blanca, we are exactly a few meters from the Villa Panamericana Sports Complex.

We had a great stay with Bertha and Fidel, they were so welcoming and helpful with all aspects of our trip. Amazing food and clean comfortable accomodation. Fidel acted as our taxi for a lot less than local taxis would have cost us and even took us back to the airport in the early hours of the morning! Would definitely recommmend them to anyone visiting Havana.

There was no better way to feel how Cuba is like. Bertha and Fidel and everybody around made me feel right at home. The house was very beautiful and clean. The went beyond to make sure i had a good stay. The breakfast and dinner was delicious, The family was super friendly and open. Also they had Osmani picking me up and bringing me to the airport. He was supernice and went the extra mile to help me. Muchas gracias for making my stay in Cuba very special.

My husband and I visited Cuba March 13-20, 2017 and we stayed at Bertha and Fidel's house the whole week. It was amazing! They are such wonderful, genuine, and kind people. Extremely helpful and caring! They treat you like real family. The room my husband and I stayed in was perfect! VERY clean and comfortable. Perfect for the entire week we stayed there. The location of the home is great too! Just 7 minutes away from central Havana by bus. The bus stop is just about a five minute walk from the house as well. the area is also very safe. Bertha will offer to have someone pick you up from the airport for just around $30 cuc. TAKE THE OFFER. I thought I would be able to find a cheaper ride from the airport, but boy was I wrong. We were charged $50 cuc by a taxi guy that told us the house was going to be an hour away and that he was giving us a discount. He ended up driving in circles just to make the time go by slower. In reality it only takes 25 minutes to get to and from the airport and the charge for the taxi should should only be 30 cuc. We had Bertha and Fidel cook breakfast for us every morning for a small fee. The food was delicious! If I ever go back to Cuba, I will certainly stay here again! ENJOY!

Really lovely couple, very kind and helpful. They called us a taxi every time we needed one. The room was very clean when we arrived, and was cleaned everyday that we stayed there. Great breakfast. Really enjoyed our visit!

Bertha Y Fidel nos trataron cómo si fuéramos familia. Nos trataron mejor que si nos hubiéramos quedado en un hotel de 5 estrellas. La casa siempre estuvo limpia y ordenada. Cada vez que necesitábamos algo Bertha hacía las gestiones necesarias para poder complacernos. La atención que nos brindaron fue excelente. La próxima vez que regrese a Cuba no voy a dudar en quedarme en la casa de Bertha y Fidel!

Bertica and Fidel were so kind. They did heart-warming hospitality. their home is not close to central Habana,but You can take bus or taxi. their rooms are new&clean and they are great cook! I love their homemade dishes. thank you so much. I'd like to back.

What can we say about Bertha and Fidel! They were so welcoming and the perfect hosts. We were a group of 4 university students and this homestay was exactly what we needed. The main room has a huge comfy double bed and the living room has a pull out sofa bed which was great at night and could be folded away for the day. The breakfasts were great, always with fresh fruit and great scrambled eggs. We had limited Spanish but Bertha always managed to chat to us so enthusiastically! Its only a short bus ride in to Havana central (very very cheap) and really makes you feel like you're living the local life. The neighbourhood is very traditional and has a great place to eat just round the corner. Bertha and Fidel also completely sorted out the booking of our next casa in Trinidad which was a really big help. The little touches that Bertha and Fidel offer, as well as it being a fantastic house, make this the place to stay in Havana!
