I propose two bedrooms : A double bedroom â€“ THE ROOM UNDER THE SKY - newly refurbished which occupies the whole 2nd floor of the house and grants a complete privacy, with an excellent WIFI connection - ideal for someone who wants to work or study in a quiet environment, when not simply rest after a full day wandering throughout the city. The bathroom is private but not ensuite which makes this accommodation not suitable for elderly guests. A bedroom â€“ THE ROOM IN THE ATELIER located in the atelier of the house on the mezzanine floor with a dresser, a clothes rack, a desk and a chair. The private bathroom is ensuite. The room fee includes access to the kitchen as well as access to the conservatory when you do not want to spend time in the bedroom. During Spring and Summer time, the shady garden is a perfect place for a cup of tea or a drink at the end of the day if you are not tempted by the pub or the French bistrot across the street. Fresh sheets, towels and bath gown are provided every week. A hairdryer is also available. Laundry and cleaning can be provided for additional charges for stays over three weeks. The minimum stay is 3 nights. As you will see from my reviews, I am used to hosting international travellers, business or cooking schools students (ESCP, Sorbonne, Sciences Po, Cordon Bleu, Ferrandi) or just citizens of the world (except French ones), for short or long term stay. I greatly enjoy helping my guests discover the city for a full immersion in French culture and habits according to their areas of interest. For those learning French or willing to improve their knowledge of the language, I provide French lessons according to level and frequency, these to be discusssed and settled directly with me. I am French, retired, speak fluent English, understand Spanish and a little German, but above all, I am an unconditional green and pet lover.

I enjoyed my stay very much! Laura is very helpful and adjusts very well to specific needs. She was very attentive to make my stay as if I was at home. I got to also plan and adjust some time to take her French lessons. The location is great, safe, and 30 minutes walk to the Eiffel tower which I loved because I was able to enjoy walks with pretty views. Definitely will stay again!

I had a great time at Laura’s! I had originally asked for her time and effort to help me speak French and learn more about the culture, and she didn’t disappoint. I really felt like a friend, we had a lot of conversation spanning many things and I learned so much about the cultural aspects of the language, country, and its film in ways that I had no idea about before. The location was wonderful and the room very comfortable. My only regret is I didn’t have time to stay longer!

As the other reviews have stated, Laura is the perfect host. I stayed for 2.5 weeks in June and truly had an amazing trip. I did French lessons every weekday with Laura. To begin with, my French was slightly rusty, but she was more than happy to go over and explain anything I was unsure of. She is a highly thoughtful and attentive teacher, selecting materials on topics I was interested in like politics and history. She even went out of her way to collect political pamphlets during the Legislative Elections for me to study, just one example which encapsulates how considerate and proactive she is. Through the use of videos, texts, radio, and conversing, my French massively improved throughout my stay and I have been inspired to continue learning since. Laura’s knowledge of French and English is perfect and thus she can tailor lessons to whatever your ability and interest are. I really cannot recommend staying with Laura enough. Not only was she an amazing teacher from whom I learnt so much, but she was also an exceptionally kind and caring host. I am eternally grateful to her for making my stay in Paris so brilliant and I look forward to returning in the future.

Large open plan townhouse on several levels with garden. Great place especially for first time visitors to Paris who need a little hand holding and advice on what to see and where to go as Laura is always willing to go above and beyond for her guests with wonderful tips and suggestions. She adores speaking English with her guests; she is perfectly bilingual. In fact when I met her I thought she might be British, it’s that good. A great place for dog lovers too as she has three cute well behaved ones. if you are not a dog lover, no worries, they will never come to your room as they are not allowed and the steps are too steep. Her « secret garden » is truly magnificent! I would not recommend this for anyone who cannot do several flights of stairs very easily or for anyone who ordinarily makes a nightly trip to the loo :-) so probably not the best for most seniors. A unique experience in a very special place I will surely never forget.

Laura is an amazing host, and her home is beautiful! She cares so well for her guests and truly wants to make sure you feel at home. She was so helpful in providing me with suggestions of sites to visit, places to eat, and general advice for my stay. Her home is also in a great location for exploring different parts of the city. I was able to take French classes with her and share some evenings watching French movies, which helped my learning and was such fun. She has amazing life stories to share, is a wonderful cook, and her chihuahuas are absolutely adorable. I would definitely recommend staying at her home if you have the chance!

Laura’s place is an exemplar of homestay. If you are a citizen of the world and want to learn and share experiences this is the place you ought to come ?? It is a place where you might come from any corner of the world and yet feel home. I have stayed in lot of places earlier but nothing could be compared to this. As mentioned on her homestay page, she does make living in Paris easy. You can have any problem and she would have a solution for you. Unfortunately, I had been through few bad things but she supported and aided in those processes. And I will be always indebted to her for that. The place is very different from any other apartments in Paris. It has outdoor garden which came as a bliss during lockdown. Also, you will have the opportunity to meet three cutest doggies (Winnie- the lion king, Douschka- the little goat, Loulou- Mother Sarabi) and one boss lady cat (Fennel- the queen) There is no dull moment in the house. The best part is that the communication throughout Paris and suburbs is very easy as there are a lot of different metro lines and buses at walking distances. If you love cooking like me, this place has the most wonderful kitchen. Most importantly, hygiene is always maintained which is very essential in the times of Covid. I would recommend Laura’s homestay to anyone who is looking for a place that is warm, secure and loving. I had the most amazing time there. Whenever I visit Paris the next time, I hope this place is available ??

Laura ist eine einzigartige Gastgeberin! Sie hat einen außergewöhnlichen Sinn für Humor, den sie mit mir in endlosen Gesprächen und mithilfe von Filmen, die wir zusammen angeschaut haben, geteilt hat. Mit der Gewissheit, dass sie immer ein offenes Ohr für mich hat, hab ich mich während meines Paris-Aufenthalts sehr wohl und geborgen gefühlt! Selbstverständlich haben auch ihre süßen Hunde einen Teil dazu beigetragen, denn man kann einfach nicht anders, als sie in’s Herz zu schließen.
