I am close to Downtown L.A. and LAX, and all of the new stadiums. it is an urban neighborhood. This is a great place to stay for anyone coming to L.A. for a while and want to save money on accommodations. You will have your own room. Shared/Private bathroom. You will have full access to the kitchen to make your own meals. I have a washer and dryer. If you stay here for 1 week you are entitled to doing two loads of laundry. WE FOLLOW VERY STRICT WATER AND ENERGY CONSERVATION PRACTICES. PLEASE BE READY TO ADJUST YOUR WATER AND ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION.

Hethy, James and Cleo (dog) are incredibly wonderful! As I arrived at LAX, she was there in no time to pick me up and give me my first impressions of Los Angeles area. She provided me with useful information on the L.A. public transport, as well as the locations of several nearby stores. The room on offer has pretty much everything one could need, even a small refrigerator and a television - as well as plenty of space. Hethy and James are very friendly (as is Cleo) and were always open to questions and suggestions on my part. The bathroom is located right next to the bedroom, is clean, and easy to use. This is still California, so they use their water efficiently, but this is a very minor and understandable inconvenience considering recent droughts. Bus stops are conveniently located near the house, and will take you up to three museums within 20 to 25 minutes, as well as offering relatively access to downtown L.A. and Hollywood (though that does take a bit longer by public transport). The nearest grocery is also not too far off and easily accessible via public transport. Keep in mind that L.A. is a city built to run on cars, and sadly not on public transport. I truly enjoyed my time with Hethy, James, and Cleo. Should I ever return to Los Angeles, I will definitely be contacting them once more. As you may have noticed, my review is incredibly positive, and I would truly recommend spending your time in L.A. with these wonderful people.

Mein Bruder und ich sind im April zusammen nach Los Angeles gereist. Bei Hethy und James haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie haben uns von Anfang an herzlich empfangen und uns sehr viel gezeigt. So hatten wir die Möglichkeit, nicht nur touristentypische Gegenden zu sehen. Wir hatten viel Spaß zusammen! Das Einzige, was wir bemängeln könnten, war die Gegend. Es war doch ab und an sehr unheimlich, nachts allein um die Häuser zu ziehen. Somit waren wir immer auf ein Auto angewiesen. Hethy und James sind nicht nur eine Gastfamilie, sondern eine kleine Familie für uns gewesen. Und wenn wir das nächste Mal nach Los Angeles reisen, werden wir wieder bei den beiden anfragen :)

Im grossen Ganzen war der Aufenthalt schön, auch die Gespräche usw. waren lehrreich. Was mich und meiner Freundin nur gestört hat war die Wassersparerei! Ich verstehe das ,das wenn Wasser im Haushalt teuer ist und daher gespart werden muss , aber für gewisse Angelegenheiten sollte kein Wasser gespart werden, zumal wir dafür Geld bezahlt haben ! Das ist eigentlich das Einzigste was wir ansprechen, ansonsten Daumen hoch!
